The Plaseller family – hosts in the Passeier Valley

Family-run Hotel Das Bergland is located in St. Leonhard in the Passeier Valley, between Jaufen Pass and Timmelsjoch. We bring South Tyrolean tradition, modern comfort and personal hospitality together with views of the surrounding mountains.


Vital & Activity means for us to offer you something good for body and mind. From the surrounding farms we obtain products for an enjoyable breakfast. After a long day, our wellness area invites you to stay and relax.

The hotel hall with bar invites you to linger. You can end the day with a drink at the open fireplace. Our small à-la-carte-restaurant  offers fresh and seasonal south-tyrolean specialites.



Through numerous leisure activities like hiking, biking, fly fishing or adventurous rafting and much more, your holiday should become an unforgettable experience. In addition, cyclists can rent e-bikes at our hotel and explore the beautiful landscapes of the Val Passiria.

We also welcome motorcyclists and groups of up to 25 guests. After a day on the mountain passes or trails, enjoy regional food and a little time to unwind.

Wonderful staff, location and hotel.

 Couldn't have asked for more from our hosts at Das Bergland. They went out of their way to accommodate our needs. We were there shooting and as such had a few requests for earlier breakfasts and late dinners. These were handled with the friendliest attitude possible, nothing was too much hassle. Add to this the fact the hotel is wonderfully clean and comfortable and you cannot go wrong. The location is incredible with all rooms providing outrageous views of the Dolomites etc. I look forward to going back when i'm not working!

Nice room and view from the balcony. Great reception and very good service from the friendly staff, Gerlinde and Annemarie. Good breakfast. Annemarie makes you egg as you like it. On the Parking lot it's possible to get your motorcycle / bicycle etc. under a half-roof.
Good Wi-Fi. The Hotel is under gentle updating and it looks very lovely, clean and cozy.
Looking forward to go for the swimmingpool next time :-)
